It has been decided to form a committee within the next seven working days to examine the feasibility of converting Titumir College into a university. After this decision, the students announced to suspend their movement for the time being. On Tuesday (November 19) in the Secretariat of the Ministry of Education, Advisor Nahid Islam and Special Assistant to the Education Advisor Dr. A delegation of 14 members of Titumir College had a meeting with M Aminul Islam.
After the meeting, Titumi's Oikya member Matiur Rahman Joy said, "A committee will be formed to check whether it is possible to convert Titumi's college into a university or not. After the formation of the committee, the deadline will be decided. So for now, we are suspending the movement."
Earlier, students of Titumir College started an indefinite shutdown to demand the conversion of their college into a university. Responding to the call for discussion, a delegation of students attended the Ministry of Education. However, they said, if the demands are not met, a bigger program will be announced.
