Information and Broadcasting Adviser Nahid Islam has confirmed that there will be no special job quota for the family members of the July martyrs.
In a statement on his verified Facebook page, he clarified that recruitment exams will not include any special reservations for them. "The government has announced one-time financial aid, monthly allowances, and employment opportunities for the families of the July martyrs. However, these will not be implemented as a quota system in government jobs," Nahid wrote.
According to his statement, one eligible member from each martyr's family will be offered a job in a government, semi-government, or private institution based on their qualifications. However, this employment opportunity will be outside the competitive exam system.
For individuals who sustained permanent disabilities during the uprising—such as blindness or the loss of limbs—the government has introduced monthly allowances. Those unable to work due to their injuries will receive long-term financial support.
"A significant number of the injured are young and will carry the physical and emotional scars of the movement throughout their lives. Many of them require prolonged medical care," Nahid stated, stressing the government's commitment to rehabilitating affected families and securing their future.
