The rickshaw carrying the body of martyr Ghulam Nafiz in the anti-discrimination movement will be placed at the July Uprising Memorial Museum. Md. Nahid Islam, Advisor to the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting visited the rickshaw at Ganabhaban today.
Rickshaw driver Noor Mohammad alias Nuru sold this rickshaw to London resident Ahsanul Kabir Siddiqui Kaiser for 35 thousand taka. Later, Ahsanul Kabir Siddiqui decided to hand over the rickshaw to the July Uprising Memorial Museum.
Golam Nafiz, a student of Banani Vidyaniketan School and College, was shot dead under the pedestrian-bridge of Farmgate on the afternoon of August 4. He was taken to the hospital in this rickshaw.
