The media of neighboring countries are spreading false propaganda about us, said the Home Affairs Adviser, Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury. He made this remark while responding to questions from journalists during a visit to Rangpur on Monday (December 2). 

The Home Affairs Adviser stated, "No unstable situation has been created here (in Bangladesh). The media of neighboring countries is spreading a lot of false propaganda about us." He added, "They are spreading lies, but you can stop them by spreading the truth. I request journalists to spread the truth, as that will silence their falsehoods."

Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury further mentioned, "Those who are filing false cases should also be brought under the law. We are working to ensure that no one is punished in a false case. We have also formed a committee for this purpose. Moreover, legal action will be taken against the culprits."

He appealed to the people of the country, saying, "Please be patient, and for the country's development, we all must work together."
