Former Additional Secretary Mohammad Amjad Hossain and his son have been arrested. They were apprehended on Sunday night during a raid at their residence in Sector 11, Uttara.


Based on secret information, a joint force began the operation at the house at 10 PM that night. After nearly four hours of operation, Amjad and his son were taken into custody.


The raid resulted in the recovery of a significant amount of cash and valuable items from their home. This included approximately 9.5 crore taka in cash, some foreign currency, 11 iPhones, and various branded watches.


Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, a Sub-Inspector (SI) of the D.U.T. office at Uttara West Police Station, confirmed the incident and stated that a case has been filed against them.
