More than half a hundred students have fallen ill after eating the food served at the freshman ceremony.

Dr. More than half a hundred students have fallen ill after eating the food served at the freshman ceremony of the Muhammad Shahidullah Hall Unit Bandh. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. in this event held on Friday evening. Niaz Ahmad Khan was present as the chief guest. Among the sick, 7 students are under treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.


 According to Aleem Mahmud, President of Unit Bandhan, among the four meals served at the event, the students got sick after eating Patisapta pitha brought from Banful in Chankharpool. He said, "Those who ate the three items except Patisapata pitha had no problem. Only those who ate Patisapata pitha had problems."


 Al Amin, manager of Bonful Sweets & Co., denied the allegation and said, "145 pieces of pitha were taken, each pitha was shared by two people. Accordingly, 290 people ate this pitha. I sold another 30 pieces of pitha at another place. No complaints have been received." Hall Principal Prof. Dr. Muhammad Javed Hossain said that medical arrangements have been made for sick students.
