Monkey Causes Nationwide Power Outage in Sri Lanka!  

A monkey's unexpected "attack" on a power substation plunged the entire country of Sri Lanka into darkness. The incident occurred yesterday, Sunday, around 11:30 AM local time.  

Government officials reported that a monkey intruded into a power substation located south of Colombo, the capital. This caused a major disruption in the country’s electricity supply. Even after three hours, authorities were unable to restore the power system.  

Sri Lanka's Minister of Energy, Kumara Jayakody, told reporters, "A monkey came into contact with one of our power supply transformers, which destabilized the entire system.
