In the early hours of the night, a shooting incident occurred at the house of former president of the Dayarampur Union BNP, Abdur Rashid Chowdhury, in the Bagatipara upazila of Natore. The incident took place around 1 AM on Tuesday.

It is worth mentioning that BNP leader Rashid Chowdhury is a resident of the Joyantipur area in the Dayarampur Union and the son of the late Badir Rahman from that area.

Rashid Chowdhury shared, "At around 1 AM on the night of the incident, my family and I, including four family members, were fast asleep. Suddenly, loud gunshots rang out. The noise woke us up, and we rushed inside the house in panic. After a few moments, the firing stopped, and the miscreants fled."

According to the night guard of Joyantipur market, the leader further revealed that six miscreants on two motorcycles fired shots at his house and then fled towards Malanchi Bazaar. After informing the police, law enforcement arrived at the scene that night, collecting evidence, including two live bullets from pistols and seven spent cartridge shells. The glass of the windows and the wall of the leader's house were damaged, and the grille of the window was bent. The BNP leader believes the gunshots were aimed at the glass windows to instill fear. He has also requested the administration's help in ensuring a thorough investigation and bringing those responsible under the law.

Following the incident, there is widespread fear among the local residents and neighbors.
