In Shahjadpur of Sirajganj five houses have been robbed by mixing anesthetic in tubewell water. Five members of the same family fell ill in this theft incident in Palpara village of Ganadah union on Saturday night. The sick are Asim Pal, Ashiq Pal, Supank Pal, Ram Prasad Pal and Divas.

 Locals complain that the thieves mix anesthetic in tubewell water. Later, when the family members became unconscious, they stole about 10 lakhs of goods. Inspector (Operation) of Shahjadpur police station Abu Said said, "The family members claim that thieves have taken 3 lakh rupees in cash and 10 lakh rupees along with gold jewelery from the house of 5 brothers. Preparations are underway to take legal action in this regard.
