Housewife hacked to death in Chuadanga, husband on the run.

In Munshiganj, Alamdanga Upazila of Chuadanga, a housewife named Shila Khatun (23) was brutally hacked to death. After the murder, her body was dumped near the village railway track.


On Monday at 10 AM, the Railway Police recovered the body after completing the inquest report and sent it to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital.


Shila Khatun was the only daughter of Hamidul Islam from Baliarpur village in Alamdanga and the wife of Russell from Rowakuli village. Since the incident, Russell has gone into hiding with their one-and-a-half-year-old son, Raihan.


Railway Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Masud Rana stated that they received the information from Chuadanga Railway Station Control in the morning, after which Shila’s body was recovered from the scene. She had multiple sharp weapon injuries on her head, neck, and legs. Legal proceedings are underway regarding the incident.
