Dhaka Education Board Chairman Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar has announced his resignation. He has taken this decision in the wake of the students' movement demanding autopass by canceling the results of HSC and equivalent exams. Today he told the media that he will submit his resignation to the Ministry of Education on Monday morning.
Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar said, "Students have demanded my resignation. If I resign, if they suspend the movement, I will resign. I will submit my resignation letter tomorrow." On Sunday afternoon, a group of examinees entered the Dhaka Education Board and started protesting and also entered the board chairman's room. They announced that they would not leave until the result was declared null and void.
