Chandika Hathurusingha is sacked. Phil Simmons has been announced as the new head coach of Bangladesh. 

 According to his contract, Chandika Hathurusingh was supposed to remain the head coach of the Bangladesh national men's team until the 2025 Champions Trophy. However, Hathurusingha's Bangladesh chapter came to an end before the South Africa series. BCB President Farooq Ahmed has announced the dismissal of Hathurusinghe in a press conference at 3 pm on Tuesday
