Actress Shomi Kaiser has been granted interim bail in an attempted murder case filed at Uttara East Police Station in the capital.  

After her bail plea was rejected by the lower court, she appealed to the High Court. On Tuesday, a High Court bench comprising Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Syed Enayetur Rahman granted her interim bail. Advocate Hamidul Misbah represented Shomi Kaiser in court, while Deputy Attorney General Jasim Sarkar appeared for the state.  

Advocate Hamidul Misbah stated that the High Court has granted interim bail to Shomi Kaiser. She was detained at Kashimpur Women’s Prison. If there are no other cases against her, there is now no legal barrier to her release.
