62 ASPs from Chhatra League, Gopalganj and party cadre categories are going to be fired from the 40th BCS of Sheikh Hasina's government.
The training is over, the final parade is over and transfer orders are due to go to work on Sunday. Home Affairs Adviser appeared in Rajshahi to take salute at the closing parade. But the closing parade was suddenly canceled on Saturday night.
In a message sent by the spokesperson of the city police in the night, it is said that the closing parade of the 40th BCS (Police) batch to be held at the Bangladesh Police Academy in Sarda, Rajshahi on Sunday (October 20) has been postponed due to unavoidable reasons.
However, at 1 pm, the Home Affairs Advisor will interact with the media.
According to multiple reliable sources of the Bangladesh Police Academy, the process of identifying 62 people appointed in the 40th BCS (Police) cadre during the previous Awami League government as BCL leaders is ongoing. The graduation ceremony of joining the police force as ASP has been postponed due to unavoidable reasons.
It is known that those 62 officers joined the training at Bangladesh Police Academy in Sarada on December 4, 2022. There are allegations that Sheikh Hasina's government selected those 62 as ASPs from the 40th BCS in three categories. The categories are Chhatra League, residents of Gopalganj and party cadres.
According to sources, many passed the written and oral exams at that time but were dropped only because of the reports of SB and NSI. No one was appointed unless Awami League did it.
