The second phase of Bishwa Ijtema began early Monday (February 3) on the banks of the Turag River in Tongi.
The event started with the Aam Bayan (general sermons) following Fajr prayers and is set to conclude with the Akheri Munajat (final prayers) on February 5.
Devotees have already started gathering for this phase. According to Habibullah Raihan, media coordinator of Tabligh Jamaat Bangladesh’s Shura-e-Nizam, Maulana Ahmed Hossain from India will deliver a sermon starting at 10 AM.
Following the Akheri Munajat of the first phase on Sunday, Tabligh Jamaat volunteers and over 300 sanitation workers from Gazipur City Corporation began cleaning the grounds, which was completed before Maghrib prayers.
