Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shaheen Reza granted 6 days remand to Awami League Advisory Council member Amir Hossain Amu today. He was arrested on November 6 in the murder case of businessman Abdul Wadud in Newmarket area.
Omar Farooq Farooqi, the lawyer of the state, said in the court, Amir Hossain Amu is directly involved in the Wadud murder case. On the other hand, Amir Hossain Amu said in the court, "We are each other's brothers. We should live together. We will live together. Why should we get involved in conflict?"
Amu's lawyer Swapan Roy Chowdhury was kicked out of the court during the hearing. It should be noted that Abdul Wadud was killed in Neelkhet area on July 19 during the anti-discrimination student movement.
