President Md. Two people were shot dead and one injured by a sound grenade when they tried to break the barricades of Banga Bhavan demanding Sahabuddin's resignation. The gunmen were identified as Faisal Ahmed Vishal (24) and Shafiqul Islam (45), while Arif (20) was injured by a sound grenade. All have been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. DMK Hospital police camp in charge. Farooq said, “Two people were injured by bullets and one was injured by sound grenades from the front of Bangabhaban and they were treated in the emergency department. We have reported the matter to the police station concerned.”


 From Tuesday afternoon, leaders and activists of various organizations took a stand in front of Banga Bhavan, among which were activists of Inkilab Manch, Raktim July 24, 36 July Parishad, Ziaur Rahman Samaj Kalyan Parishad, and anti-fascist Chhatra-Janata Manch. During the sit-in, the protesters chanted slogans demanding the president's resignation. When a section of them tried to break through the barricade at night, the police lathi-charged and fired teargas. A few were injured in the clash and army personnel rushed to the ground to control the situation.


 Meanwhile, legal adviser Asif Nazrul, information adviser Nahid Islam, IGP Md. demanded the resignation of the president. Moinul Islam, RAB DG Harun-or-Rashid and DMP Commissioner Md. Mainul Hasan held a meeting with Chief Justice Syed Refat Ahmed.
