The army chief went to the United States and Canada on an official visit.

 Dhaka, 15 October 2024 (Tuesday): Today (15 October 2024) Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-Uz-Zaman, OSP, SGP, PSC left for USA and Canada on an official visit. During the visit, he will participate in meetings with high-ranking military and civilian officials of the United Nations Headquarters, the United States and Canada to discuss matters related to the United Nations peacekeeping mission, increase the capacity of the army, develop bilateral relations and determine future courses of action and discuss various issues of mutual cooperation.

 After the visit, the army chief will return to Bangladesh on October 25, 2024.
