Although the 'Special Agricultural Produce Train' was launched to transport agricultural products from the northern region, it departed Rohanpur empty on its inaugural run. On Saturday at 9:15 AM, the train began its journey from Rohanpur railway station to Dhaka, carrying only 150 kg of vegetables.

The transportation cost per kilogram of agricultural products has been set at Tk 1.30, while for the Rajshahi to Tejgaon route, the cost would be Tk 1.18 per kilogram.

The distance from Rohanpur to Dhaka is 346 kilometers. Operating the train costs a total of Tk 8,96,432 . However, with only 150 kg of goods transported on the first day, the revenue was just Tk 360, resulting in a first-day loss of Tk 8,96,072.
