 He made this comment in an interview published on Wednesday (October 30) in the British media The Financial Times. He said, “They have controlled the people, politics and various institutions of the country for their own interests. Such a fascist party cannot exist in a democratic country.” Regarding the extradition of Sheikh Hasina. Yunus said, "The interim government is not trying for now. His government will take necessary steps after the verdict of the International Criminal Tribunal.”

 "She is accused of crimes against humanity," he said, noting that "after the verdict, efforts will be made to bring Sheikh Hasina back as per the extradition treaty with India."
