Awami League presidium member and former agriculture minister. Abdur Razzak was produced in the court on Tuesday in the case of the murder of businessman Abdul Wadud in the capital's New Market. After the hearing, the court granted his two-day remand. Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbubul Haque gave this order.
Dr. remand hearing. Abdur Razzak said in the court, "I have served the government as a scientific officer for 24 years. I joined the Awami League in pursuit of patriotism. I have nothing to do with the charges on which I have been arrested." He prays for justice.
The investigating officer of the case, DB Police Inspector Jahangir, applied for a seven-day remand of the accused, but the court granted a two-day remand. According to the sources of the case, a murder case was filed against 130 people including his brother-in-law Sheikh Hasina and Obaidul Quader in connection with the death of businessman Abdul Wadud in police firing on July 19 during the anti-discrimination student movement.
