Donald Trump has repeatedly claimed that he can resolve the war between Russia and Ukraine in one day. In a May 2023 CNN town hall, he stated that he would "solve this within 24 hours" and would do so through direct talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
