Elon Musk’s Big Offer, ChatGPT Chief’s Clear Response: ‘We Are Not for Sale’
The world’s richest man, "Elon Musk", has made a hefty offer to acquire OpenAI. However, "ChatGPT CEO and OpenAI co-founder Sam Altman" has firmly stated, "We are not for sale."
On Tuesday, Altman attended the ‘AI Action Summit’ in Paris, France. During an on-stage interview, he remarked, "We are not like other organizations. Our goal is to develop AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) in a way that benefits all of humanity. That’s what we are here for."
When asked to define AGI, Altman explained, "Most people have already become accustomed to it—advanced AI systems are becoming truly powerful."
Recently, a group of investors, led by Elon Musk, reportedly submitted a $974 billion bid to acquire OpenAI. Musk’s attorney,Mark Toberoff, confirmed the news, stating that he officially submitted the bid to regulatory authorities on Monday.
Notably, Musk was one of OpenAI’s original co-founders alongside Altman. However, he later distanced himself from the company.
