The government appointed new divisional commissioners for Dhaka and Rangpur on Wednesday, as part of a field administration reshuffle.

A gazette notification, signed by Md Touhid Bin Hasan, Deputy Secretary of the Field Administration-2 Section under the Ministry of Public Administration, confirmed the appointments.

Sharaf Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury and Md Shahidul Islam have been named the new divisional commissioners for Dhaka and Rangpur, respectively. Prior to this, Chowdhury was with the Local Government Division, while Islam was serving at the Bangladesh Rural Development Board
