2 murders in Magura under the leadership of Shakib's father in the movement of students
Before the disputed January 2024 elections, then MP Shakib Al Hasan's political activities were overseen by his father in his absence.
An eyewitness journalist told Bangla Outlook that he saw Shakib's father Mashroor Reza Kutil appear in front of the Magura Sadar police station with a large fleet shortly before 11:00 am. At that time, when the journalists went to take pictures of the armed men from a distance, they were threatened with sharp weapons.
He provided Bangla Outlook with a video recorded at that time. According to the meta data of the video, the video was made on August 4 at 11 pm.
In the video, Shakib's father and activists of the pro-Sakib Awami League and its affiliates are standing in front of a market near the police station armed. Later from there they went towards Dhaka Road.
According to Bangla Outlook's search, it takes 8 minutes to reach the scene of the shooting along Dhaka Road from the front of Magura Sadar police station if you walk a bit faster. And after some time, Chhatra Dal leader Rabbi was shot dead. At least three witnesses say the rabbi was shot at 11:15 a.m.
That morning Shakib's father was accompanied by District Jubo League's joint convener Shakib Hasan Tuhin. One of Tuhin's 'shooters' was Chhatra League activist Shishi Adhikari. However, witnesses say that apart from Shishir Adhikari, other BCL leaders, especially Hamidul Islam, also fired that day.
So far no case has been filed against Shakib or his father in connection with the two murders and the injuries of over three dozen student mobs at Magura Sadar. BNP workers alleged that Shakib's relatives are leading the district BNP. These senior leaders did not allow the case against the Shakib family to be tricked.
