Kiara and Sharvari will play the roles of a police officer and a powerful antagonist, respectively.
**Share Biz Desk:** Bollywood's Yash Raj Films is struggling to finalize the cast list for their new film in the "Dhoom" series.
Just two days ago, there were reports that Shraddha Kapoor might star opposite Ranbir Kapoor, as their chemistry in the film "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar" was well-received by audiences. As a result, Yash Raj Films was optimistic about this pairing.
However, according to Anandabazar, Shraddha herself stated at an event in Mumbai that she will not be a part of "Dhoom 4."
Instead, there are discussions about casting Kiara Advani or Sharvari Wagh. Some media outlets report that one of them will portray a police officer, while the other will take on the role of a strong villainess, meaning one of them is likely to be the female lead opposite Ranbir.
Meanwhile, Ranbir has stirred up social media by changing his hairstyle for this film. He has also gotten fitter by losing weight.
The previous three installments of the "Dhoom" series featured new faces. Therefore, before the new installment begins, audiences are keen to know who will be seen in key roles.
Initially, it was rumored that Shah Rukh Khan would take charge of this series. However, he has been too busy with his other projects to commit to it.
Additionally, the name of South superstar Suriya had also surfaced. Yet, the production company has not been able to reach a final decision.
A few days ago, Aditya Chopra, head of Yash Raj Films, mentioned that he believes Ranbir is well-suited to carry on the legacy of "Dhoom."
Ranbir has been in discussions with Aditya about this project for a long time. Together with Vijay Krishna Acharya, Aditya has also finalized the script.
Now, Aditya is busy selecting other actors as they plan to start shooting next year.
The first film in the "Dhoom" series was released in 2004, featuring John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra, Rimi Sen, Esha Deol, and others.
Following the success of the first film, "Dhoom 2" was released two years later, starring Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra, and Bipasha Basu. The second installment was also a commercial success.
In 2013, "Dhoom 3" featured Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan, and Uday Chopra.
