Due to dense fog, six flights failed to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport from midnight last night. Later, these flights were forced to land at Sylhet and Kolkata airports.
The airport's Executive Director, Group Captain Mohammad Kamrul Islam, stated that the situation has returned to normal after the fog cleared. However, 16 flights faced delays in takeoff and landing due to the fog.
He further mentioned that flight diversions occurred between 3:30 a.m. and 4:50 a.m. on Monday. After 10:30 a.m., the diverted flights gradually returned to Dhaka, and flight operations resumed normally.
