Superstar Shakib Khan's new movie "Dard" will be released in 70 theaters across the country this Friday. The film will also be released in over 400 theaters in 20 countries, including Bangladesh and India.
Typically, before a movie release, teasers, trailers, and multiple songs are published. Director Onnonno Mamun has confirmed that his team will follow this same approach.
Regarding the movie's promotion, the director mentioned, "The situation in the country has changed, with new developments happening every day, and the political environment is unstable. The current scenario cannot be compared to the past. However, we are promoting the movie in various ways, with a major campaign underway in Kolkata."
Dard is a psychothriller with a love story at its core. The director explained the plot: "Multiple influential figures are killed in Varanasi, and suspicion falls on a man named Dulu Mia, played by Shakib Khan. Alongside the thriller aspect, there is a tumultuous love story in the film."
Shakib's heroine in Dard is Indian actress Sonal Chauhan. The shooting of the film began in October of last year.
The 149-minute film features seven songs in total, including four Bengali songs and three Hindi songs. The teaser of Dard was released in April, where Shakib is seen in two different roles. In the 1-minute 30-second teaser, Shakib appears as both a calm, quiet young man and a murderer.
The shooting of Dard took place in Varanasi and Allahabad, India. Apart from Shakib and Sonal, the film also stars Kolkata's Payel Sarkar, Bishwajit Chakraborty, Rajesh Sharma, Rahul Dev, Alok Jain, and many others.
In addition to Bengali, Dard will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.
