Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri's sister, Alia Fakhri (43), has been arrested. Alia is accused of murdering her ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend. This information was reported by Indian media NDTV on Tuesday (December 3).
According to the NDTV report, Alia is alleged to have set fire to a two-story garage, resulting in the deaths of Edward Jacobs (35) and Anastasia Etini (33). The fire broke out while the two were inside the garage. They died due to burns and asphyxiation from the toxic smoke.
Several eyewitnesses have agreed to testify against Alia. One eyewitness mentioned that Alia had frequently threatened to kill her ex-boyfriend, but at the time, they had taken it lightly and laughed it off.
It is known that Alia was born in the Queens area of the United States, where she grew up. Alia's ex-boyfriend was Edward Jacobs, and his girlfriend was Anastasia Star Etain. On the morning of November 2, in Queens, New York, Alia went to a house garage and screamed, "Today, you all must die." After hearing the sound, an eyewitness arrived to see the house on fire. At that time, Alia's ex-boyfriend, Edward Jacobs, was asleep, and his girlfriend, Anastasia Etini, came downstairs after seeing the smoke. However, she went back inside to rescue Jacobs. Both of them died due to excessive heat and smoke inhalation.
As a result, Alia Fakhri has been arrested. If found guilty, she could face a life sentence. Jacobs' mother stated that her son had broken up with Alia a year ago, and Alia had been upset about it.
